I love Rice-A-Roni, but am trying to get away from boxed mixes and try to shift to more wholesome versions of rice and pasta. Have you tried this with brown rice, whole grain pasta, and/or wild rice? What changes would be required?

Whoever posted this needs to learn how to write a recipe correctly. ther is no yeild, serving size or really anything useful. If you don't have a box than you can't make this since there are no measurements.

Thanks Jeremy! As I mentioned above, the original recipe for homemade rice-a-roni is linked within the post. If you follow the link you will find a complete recipe with specific measurements and yield. This post was simply meant to showcase an existing recipe on the site. Good luck! -Katie

On Weight Watchers. Looking for something tasty and simple.

This is GREAT for any diet, and this stuff you can eat a hearty portion and still be in the health zone.

First Class in its simplicity, health AND taste!
