Thanks for this great recipe - my teenagers love iced coffee and this is a huge hit with them -- as good as Starbucks, according to my daughter. I use 10 cups of coffee, a whole can of sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 Tblsp of vanilla. Lasts for 2 days for 2 teenagers.

I am not sure about the sweetened condensed milk since I like my coffee unsweetened. But Cafe du Monde brings back nice travel memories.

Don't freeze your coffee! Freezing causes all the moisture inside the bean (or ground coffee) to turn into ice crystals, and forces out both moisture and the flavorful oils. When the coffee is thawed, the moisture and oils evaporate, and you end up with a coffee that's rather flat and less tasty than it could be.

Please be kind to your coffee. Store it in an airtight container at room temp.
